Our Vision: Total community support for a dynamic teacher-student education process
Our Mission: Enhancing academic achievement through community support and creative education
The Kenyon-Wanamingo Education Foundation is a private, non-profit organization. Started in 1998, its purpose is to help fund the educational equipment and projects that are not typically covered in the normal school budget. The Kenyon-Wanamingo Education Foundation is run by a board of directors consisting of 16 to 24 members. The board contains two school board members, at least two teachers, two students, and other interested community members. The board meets regularly throughout the year to plan future activities and review requests for funds.
The Kenyon-Wanamingo Education Foundation plays an important role in our school district by supplementing what the school district budget is not able to provide in its annual budget and by more fully providing for some of the needs of the classroom. With a fully operational educational foundation, those items not available through the school district budget can be purchased.
Funding for Foundation Projects is made possible through fundraisers and generous gifts from members of the community, corporate partners and sponsors, teachers, and students. Tax-deductible contributions can be made to the Kenyon-Wanamingo Education Foundation in the following ways:
- Annual giving
- Endowments
- Deferred giving programs
- Fundraisers
- Memorials
- Corporate Sponsorship or Partnerships
A gift to the Foundation is more than a gift of education. It is a commitment to our local communities. A gift to the Foundation is a statement that says that a strong educational system is the heart and soul of a thriving community.
