Principal Welcome

 Carrie Anderson

Welcome to the Kenyon-Wanamingo Elementary School website!
My name is Carrie Anderson, and I am thrilled to share that I will be serving as the PreK–4th grade principal at Kenyon-Wanamingo Elementary School for the 2025–2026 school year. In addition to this new role, I will continue to support our students and families as the school social worker.

A proud graduate of Kenyon-Wanamingo High School, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Minnesota State University, Mankato, followed by a Master’s in Education from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls, and an Education Specialist degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Since joining K-W Schools in 2012, I have had the privilege of working alongside many incredible students, families, staff, and community members. Outside of my professional roles, I have enjoyed coaching volleyball, basketball, and softball, as well as supporting our school events in various ways.

My family and I live on a farm between Wanamingo and Kenyon. Our children are actively engaged in academics, music, and athletics at KW, and it is a joy to watch them grow and thrive in our district.

This upcoming school year marks an exciting milestone—our entire student body, from PreK through 12th grade, will be learning together in one building. We look forward to partnering with our communities to provide a safe, welcoming, and exceptional learning environment for every student.

Please feel free to reach out to me at 507-789-6186 ext. 7017 or via email at [email protected]. I’m excited for the year ahead and to work together to support our students’ success!
