Knights Kids Childcare

Ages 33 months to Grade 5

The mission of the Knights Kids program is to care for children in a safe, enriching environment that supports the individual needs of children and families while building positive relationships. Our goals are aligned with the district’s developmentally appropriate goals and encourage students to have fun while maintaining a respectful, responsible and safe atmosphere.

Program Goals:

  • Ensure children have a safe, healthy environment where their emotional, social, physical, and developmental needs are met.
  • Provide a variety of developmentally appropriate, enriching activities, including but not limited to: games, arts and crafts, experiments, field trips, physical activities (indoor and outdoor), reading, music, and quiet time.
  • Promote respect for self and others while enhancing and encouraging responsibilities and social skills.
  • Give individual guidance to children based on each child’s needs, personal potential, and parent/guardian values and goals.

Locations: Quality Care is offered at the K-W Elementary School in Wanamingo and the K-W Middle School in Kenyon.

School Year Program: Knights Kids provides quality childcare for Kindergarten through 5th grade before school, after school, on non-school days and inclement weather days to accommodate family schedules. Programming is also provided for children 33 months to 6 years of age (not enrolled in Kindergarten) during the school year. Daily activities enrich the preschool curriculum. Hours of operation are 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Summer Programming: Summer Knights Kids offers a childcare environment where your child can learn, play and belong. The summer programs is for children ages 33 months through grade 5 and has weekly themes and activities, including swimming at the local pool twice a week and fun field trips. Hours of operation are 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. beginning in June.
